In-house Training and Continuing Education
Your M+K Career Path
The Choice is Yours
Our goal is to provide each employee an opportunity to reach his or her maximum potential. From those who value work-life balance to those willing to put the pedal to the metal and go for the gold – we understand that each employee is unique. We can structure a career path to meet both your professional goals and your personal needs.
Culture Matters
When considering your options, make sure you’re looking at the culture and career advancement opportunities, since these will play a major role in your long-term career satisfaction. M+K is second to none in both of these areas. While initial compensation and benefits are very important, so is future earning potential and being happy where you work – make sure you are evaluating all of these variables.
The Sky is the Limit
Technical employees have opportunities to advance as quickly as their talent warrants. Promotions and advancement are based on ability, not years of experience. We have promoted employees to Project Management positions and have offered partnership to multiple employees before the age of 30.
LUNCH + LEARN
Throughout the year industry vendors and suppliers either come to our office or present at their facilities in order to educate our teams about their products and services. Free lunch and technical materials are typically provided.
P.E. STUDY COURSES
Employees sitting for the PE exam have access to study materials, practice exams, and on-demand video courses that cover every topic on the exam. They work as a team and study each section together. Since the inception of this program, the pass rate of our employees on their first attempt is nearly 100%.
M+K UNIVERSITY
Our team gets together regularly to discuss current issues, new corporate design standards, building code updates, and all sorts of topics to keep our team up to date and working in unison.
ON THE JOB TRAINING
Of course, the majority of training happens while working on projects. Entry level employees are paired with experienced employees who are tasked with training and providing mentorship as each employee transitions into his or her professional life.
